Privacy Policy

🛡️ TL;DR: RedSutra doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Your API keys and settings stay on your device.

Overview

RedSutra is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered replies for Reddit. We built it with privacy as a core principle. We don't want your data, and we've designed the extension so we never receive it.

What We Don't Collect

Let's be clear about what RedSutra does NOT do:

How RedSutra Works

RedSutra operates entirely within your browser:

Third-Party Services

RedSutra connects directly to the AI provider you configure:

When you generate a reply, the Reddit post content is sent directly from your browser to your chosen AI provider. We have no visibility into this data.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API:

This data syncs across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome, but it's handled entirely by Google Chrome—not by us.

Permissions Explained

RedSutra requests the following Chrome permissions:

Children's Privacy

RedSutra is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
